From the "Just what we didn't need" department

The Caps have acquired yet another young defenseman. I recognize that we're thin on bodies on the blueline, but more inexperience cannot be the answer. And if Jurcina can't crack the lowly Bruins lineup, he's not going to be much help to us this year. So I guess we're still building towards the future here, even though the trade sounds designed to plug a hole in the present. I'm not sold on this AT ALL, but hey, a 4th rounder isn't exactly a big price to pay for the guy.

What a terrible game tonight, at least Number 8 had a sweet goal. It's too bad that he'll eventually end up playing for someone like Ottawa, Detroit, or New Jersey.

What the hell are you talking about? Ovechkin isn't going anywhere, he's DC 4life!

The Bruins defense includes: Zdeno Chara, Brad Stuart, Jason York, Bobby Allen, Paul Mara, and Andrew Alberts. We know Chara is seven feet tall and a perennial all-star. Mara is in his seventh NHL season, and is 6-4, 220 lbs. Stuart is 6-2, 220, in his sixth NHL season, and is a very solid defenseman. York is in his 12TH NHL SEASON, and is a Pothier-style player. Alberts is 6-4, 220 and a physical, hard-hitting defensemen (i.e. an Erskine type). Allen is a rookie second round draft pick. That is NOT an easy defensive lineup to crack, my young brother. I think Jurcina will have an easier time cracking the Morrison, Eminger, Green, Schultz, Heward, Nycholat defensive corps.

I didn't say it would be harder for Jurcina to crack the lineup here, I just said that Boston's lineup was not all that impressive. I stand by that statement.
